Award Winning Projects
Main Avenue Bridge Replacement, Sacramento, CA
Replacement of an old two-lane deteriorated timber bridge with a modern four-lane bridge over the Natomas East Main Drain Canal/Steelhead Creek and Union Pacific Railroad tracks. To date, the project has received six awards:
- Consulting Engineers and Land Surveyors of California (CELSOC) Award of Excellence
- Two awards from the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), Sacramento Section, for 1) Outstanding Engineering Achievement and 2) Exceptional Fast-Track Construction
- Special Recognition Award from the Sacramento Area Council of Governments (SACOG) for successfully completing Phase 1 within eight months
- The 2006 Transportation Project of the Year Award from the American Public Works Association (APWA), Sacramento Chapter
- Association of General Contractors of California Excellence in Partnering Award.
Stockton Boulevard Beautification Project, Sacramento, CA
Aesthetic enhancements and improvements to a 1.63-mile stretch of Stockton Boulevard. The project won:
- Two Outstanding Project Awards in Transportation and Development from both the American Society of Civil Engineers’ California Region and its Sacramento Section
7th Street Extension, Sacramento, CA
New two-lane arterial roadway with a 900-foot-long grade-separation with a 96-foot long underpass bridge. The 7th Street Extension project received three important merit awards:
- Consulting Engineers and Land Surveyors of California (CELSOC) Engineering Excellence Award
- American Public Works Association, Sacramento Chapter (APWA) Project of the Year Award
- Associated General Contractors (AGC) Excellence in Partnering Award
Fairfield Transportaion Center, Fairfield, CA
Multi-modal bus transfer and park-and-ride facility. The project included constructing a 400-space, three-level parking garage, a covered passenger loading facility with ten bus bays and a two-story office building on four landscaped acres. The project received:
- 2002 Tranny Award from the California Transportation Foundation
California State University Sacramento Access Project, Sacramento, CA
Bike path access from 65th and Elvas Streets to the university. Path was used for the 2000 Olympic Trials for track and field. The project received:
- Transportation Project of the Year Award from APWA’s Sacramento Chapter
Parker Avenue Reconstruction, Contra Costa County/Rodeo, CA
Reconstruct and enhance the Town of Rodeo’s main thoroughfare and create a more pedestrian and bike-friendly environment. The project received:
- Transportation Project of the Year Award from APWA’s Northern California Chapter
